Bryan Hamm is President of JMP Credit Advisors and portfolio manager of its two collateralized loan obligations. He is also a member of JMP Credit Advisors’ investment committee. Bryan has more than 20 years of experience in leveraged finance, asset-based, and distressed agented and syndicated middle-market secured lending transactions covering a broad range of industries. During his career, he has overseen approximately $2.5 billion of distressed lending transactions. Prior to co-founding Cratos Capital Partners, the predecessor to JMP Credit Advisors, in May 2006, Bryan held a variety of senior management positions throughout a 14-year career at Wells Fargo Foothill, Inc. As an Executive Vice President, he served as a member of that firm’s investment committee from 2000 through 2006.
Bryan received his undergraduate degree from the University of Massachusetts and is a Certified Public Accountant.
Craig KitchinChief Financial Officer
Chief Financial Officer
Craig Kitchin serves as Chief Financial Officer of JMP Credit Advisors and sits on its operating committee. He joined Cratos Capital Partners, the predecessor to JMP Credit Advisors, as Chief Financial Officer shortly after its inception in 2006 and is responsible for the administrative aspects of the business, including capital raising, financial reporting, loan operations, accounting, tax and human resources. From 1992 to 2006, Craig served in various capacities at Jameson Inns, Inc., a publicly traded hotel company with approximately 1,700 employees and more than 100 properties. From 1998 to 2006, he was President, Chief Financial Officer and a member of the company’s board of directors. While at Jameson, he oversaw the company’s initial public offering as well as many subsequent debt and equity offerings.
Craig holds an MBA with concentrations in accounting and finance from the University of Chicago and a BS degree in finance from Santa Clara University.
Ron BanksManaging Director
Ron Banks is a Managing Director at JMP Credit Advisors and serves as a senior credit officer and a member of the investment committee. He joined Cratos Capital Partners, the predecessor to JMP Credit Advisors, in 2006. He has more than 17 years of experience in middle-market portfolio management, credit analysis, and loan documentation and workouts. Ron was previously a Vice President and senior underwriter for the southeast region at Wells Fargo Foothill, Inc., where he underwrote and negotiated loans totaling more than $2 billion in commitments. Ron began his career at GE Capital Commercial Finance, where he held various positions, underwriting more than $2 billion in commitments and managing a portfolio valued at more than $500 million.
Ron received a BS in business administration from Northeastern University, graduating magna cum laude.
Renee LefebvreManaging Director
Renee Lefebvre is a Managing Director and is JMP Credit Advisors’ Chief Administrative Officer, overseeing loan operations, compliance and reporting. Prior to joining Cratos Capital Partners, the predecessor to JMP Credit Advisors, she served from 1996 to 2006 as a senior underwriter, senior account executive and senior auditor at Wells Fargo Foothill, Inc., where she underwrote numerous complex transactions and managed a portfolio of distressed credits. Renee began her banking career at Shawmut Bank after working in the wholesale distribution industry and serving three years in the U.S. Army.
Renee holds an undergraduate degree summa cum laude in accounting from Wichita State University.
Fred PassenantManaging Director
Fred Passenant is a Managing Director and serves as JMP Credit Advisors’ head of capital markets and loan trading. He is also a member of JMP Credit Advisors’ investment committee. Fred was one of the founding members of Cratos Capital Partners, the predecessor to JMP Credit Advisors, and has been involved in financing leveraged transactions for 22 years. From 1997 until 2006, Fred was a Managing Director in leveraged finance at Wachovia Securities. He was involved in the formation of that firm’s loan sales and trading business and later served on the loan syndicate desk, focused on the structuring and distribution of senior, second lien and mezzanine financings. Fred previously spent seven years in loan syndications at Banque Paribas, working with the merchant banking, media and energy groups. There he was responsible for origination, structuring and syndication of leveraged loans, including cash flow and asset-based loans, across a variety of industries. He began his banking career at Manufacturers Hanover Trust.
Fred holds a BS in finance and economics from Fordham University.
