Overview

Harvest Capital Strategies LLC is a San Francisco-based, SEC-registered investment adviser with approximately $1.6 billion in alternative assets under management that focuses on long-short equity hedge funds, private equity and middle-market lending.

Our investment teams specialize in technology, agriculture, financial services and small-cap equities, as well as late-stage secondary venture capital investments, which are made through our Harvest Growth Capital funds (www.harvestgrowthcapital.com), and middle-market corporate lending, which is conducted by HCAP Advisors through publicly traded Harvest Capital Credit Corporation (NASDAQ:HCAP) (www.harvestcapitalcredit.com), a business development company.

Our investment philosophy is centered on the belief that leveraging our extensive network of relationships and exercising a rigorous fundamental research process allows us to achieve an informational and competitive edge. We also believe that portfolio managers who have demonstrable domain expertise are better equipped to exploit market inefficiencies because of their abilities to source and interpret information.

Harvest Capital Strategies’ investors include a range of institutions, family offices and high-net-worth individuals in both the U.S. and abroad. Our firm and our principals have also made significant investments in our products, which we believe aligns us with our investors and demonstrates our commitment to the investment strategies we employ.

We have built a scalable, client-focused asset management platform with operational best practices designed for growth in an increasingly challenging industry environment. Our culture is performance-driven and focused on preserving capital, sharing a common risk framework and generating alpha through fundamentally driven investment selection. We strive for superior returns by performing exhaustive due diligence and executing a rigorous analytical process for both long and short positions. We expect this repeatable investment process to provide capital preservation and consistent performance during all market cycles.
